New Rochelle Woman Accused Of Endangering Twins, Having Drugs
Police said the woman was found unconscious, slumped over a baby carriage.

A New Rochelle woman was accused of using drugs in the presence of her children. Yonkers police said Jessica Reyes, 30, of New Rochelle, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both misdemeanors.
Police said that, a little after 2 p.m. Friday, officers in the area of 1 Mill Street in Yonkers were approached by someone who was concerned about a woman seemingly unconscious and slumped over a baby stroller.
As they got closer to the unconscious woman, officers said she was slumped over a double carriage that had two infants in it.

The police also said they saw a burned cigar in the woman's right hand. It was later found to contain PCP and K2, which is synthetic marijuana, police said.
Officers said they took the narcotic from the woman and tried to rouse her.

After she finally woke up, the police said she said, "Don't take my children, I only took a few pulls."
Reyes was arrested without incident. Her daughters — twin 6-month-olds — were taken to an area hospital for evaluation. They were found to be in good health and were turned over to Child Protective Services for case management, authorities said.
Reyes was arraigned in Yonkers Criminal Court Saturday and is due back in court Sept. 19.
