Pete Lee and Vladimir Caamano to Headline Wednesday Comedy Nights at Empire City Casino
Pete Lee will be headlining on Feb. 8th while Vladamir Caamano will be the main comic on Feb. 22
A network television comedy star originally from Wisconsin (who's now a true-blue New Yorker), and a funnyman of Dominican heritage from the Bronx named Vladimir (that's right!) will headline the two Wednesday Comedy Nights in February at Empire City Casino.
The eclectic and diverse mix of laughs will be provided by Pete Lee on Wednesday, February 8, and Vladimir Caamano on Wednesday, February 22. The comedians will be front and center in the casino's Good Time Room.
Doors will open at 7:00 pm and the show will begin at 8:00 pm. Admission is $5 for Empire Club Members and $25 for non-members. Elite Club and President’s Club members gain free admission. All patrons will receive a free drink ticket.
Pete Lee might be the nicest person in New York City, but that’s because it’s impossible to sound aggressive with a Wisconsin accent. In 2005, Pete flew to New York to make his television debut on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend. Soon after moving to NYC, he was selected to perform at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, where he was voted a standout performer. In 2008 Pete made his network television debut performing on NBC’s Last Comic Standing finishing as a semi-finalist. At the end of 2008 he shot his own Comedy Central half Hour Special.
Accompanying Lee on the 8th will be featured performer Crystian Ramirez and MC Aaron Berg.
With the name “Vladimir,” few people expect a Dominican from The Bronx to take the stage. His comedic style is the fruit of an immigrant Dominican family living in the cultural mecca that is New York City and is described as an elegant combination of urban grit and intellect. Vlad has quickly become a staple of the New York Comedy scene performing at The Stand, Gotham Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, Dangerfield’s and the Comic Strip Live. He has been featured on Gotham Comedy Live on AXS.TV and Adam Devine’s House Party for Comedy Central.
Joining Vladimir on the 22nd are featured funnyman Nore Davis and MC Josh Wesson.
