Police Break Up Large Fight At New Roc City Saturday

Police are continuing the investigation into the incident.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle Police broke up a large fight Saturday, March 4 at New Roc City. Police said they responded around 11:02 p.m. the Sky Zone in the entertainment complex. When they got there, officers observed a large disorderly crowd, many of whom were fighting.

The officers were able to get the group to leave the Sky Zone, however many in the group went to the courtyard of New Roc City, where several more fighting broke out.

Officers gained control of the situation and arrested three individuals. They escorted others to the Metro North Train Station where they boarded a southbound train.

The following were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, a violation:

  • Jahmeela Russell, 18, of Mount Vernon
  • Tsaia Chung, 17, of Mount Vernon
  • Justin Smiley, 17, of Mount Vernon

A 15 year-old resident of Harlem was also taken into custody and subsequently released to his guardian.
