Police: Driver Arrested in Connection with New Rochelle Hit-and-Run

The victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Twenty-four-year-old Martin Oliveros of New Rochelle turned himself into police custody Tuesday and was arrested on a felony assault charge in connection with a hit-and-run accident that left a Bronx man critically injured.

The Journal News reports that the public provided police with tips about Oliveros’ red Toyota pickup truck, which helped crack the case.

Oliveros and the victim had been in an accident Saturday, and police said Oliveros ran over the victim when he got out of his car. The man remains hospitalized in critical condition.
