Renowned Chef Cooks Up A Delicious Way To Reduce Food Waste

Your chance to learn how to put the "oh" in leftovers is on the front burner at a special free class led by Chef Adam Kaye.

MAMARONECK, NY — Food waste contributes to food insecurity, hurts the world in which we all live and rising prices at the grocery store make stretching every dollar essential — solutions to avoiding waste start in the kitchen and are surprisingly easy if you have the right chef teaching you a few delicious tricks of the trade.

The Town of Mamaroneck, in conjunction with the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Center for Continuing Education, is offering a free class for those who would like creative, healthy (and most of all yummy) ways to deal with food that has been left in the fridge.

Organizers promise the event is so much more than just a cooking demo class. The lesson is also envisioned as being a part of the solution to the problem of food waste in our nation. Chef Adam Kaye will show attendees how to prepare leftover food rather than throwing the potential ingredients in the trash.
