NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Hurricane season is here, but tropical storms in the Atlantic aren't the only crisis that are easier to weather with the proper precautions in place.

The New Rochelle Public Library (NRPL) announced that the New York National Guard, in collaboration with the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES), will present a NYS Citizen Preparedness Corps Emergency Preparedness Workshop on Tuesday, September 26, at 6 p.m., in the main branch of the library.

NRPL says that the workshop aims to equip residents with the knowledge and tools they need to effectively prepare for severe weather events and other emergencies, respond appropriately in a crisis, and recover quickly.
