Urine Sample Explodes In 7-Eleven Microwave: Aurora Police

A Denver woman applying for a job tried to warm a bottle of urine in an Aurora 7-Eleven microwave, and fled when it exploded.

AURORA, CO -- A urine sample being warmed by a woman seeking a job nearby exploded in a 7-Eleven microwave, police said. Angelique Sanchez, 26, of Denver was cited May 3 for damaged property after she allegedly dripped a yellow liquid onto the floor and fled the store, police said.

The clerk told police he heard a loud bang and saw the woman remove a plastic bottle from the microwave. A yellow liquid in the appliance smelled like urine, the clerk told police. When he asked her to clean it up, Sanchez allegedly wiped up the liquid, but in doing so spilled some on the floor and then fled the scene, police said.

Officers located Sanchez at Concentra health clinic, nearby where she was reportedly waiting for a urinalysis test for a potential job. Sanchez said, "she had cleaned up the mess and did not understand the problem."
