Salute to Servicemen and Women by Yonkers Raceway and SOA of NY
Yonkers Raceway and SOA of NY host 100 veterans of the U.S. military on Saturday, May 14.

Yonkers Raceway and the Standardbred Owners Association of New York will be grateful hosts to 100 veterans from the Army, Navy and Marines this Saturday night (May 14). It’s the second time that the heroes from the greater New York area will be feted at Empire City Casino's historic racetrack for dinner and a night at the races. First post-time is at 7:10 PM.
Trainer Robbie Siegelman, is a long-time, active volunteer with HorseAbility (www.horseability.org), and has helped to spearhead the initiative. HorseAbility is an Old Westbury, NY-based non-profit organization offering therapeutic riding programs, hippotherapy and a summer day camp to children, adults, and families with special needs.
Many of the veterans have become involved with the HorseAbility program, including those chosen to lead Saturday night’s first three post parades.
