Science Classes for Kids

The Hudson Park Children’s Greenhouse in New Rochelle is excited to announce the Science Explorers Club, featuring three engaging, hands-on classes for elementary-aged children (ages 5–12) this March.

Designed to spark curiosity and foster a love of science, each session combines interactive learning with creative exploration inside the beautiful greenhouse setting.

🌱 Sunday, March 1 – Moss Terrarium

Children will build their own miniature moss terrarium while learning about ecosystems, plant survival, and how plants thrive in small environments.1:30 p.m. | $10 per child

🔋 Sunday, March 15 – Dirt Batteries

Can dirt really create electricity? In this exciting experiment, kids will discover how energy moves through soil by constructing their own dirt-powered battery.1:30 p.m. | $10 per child

🐦 Monday, March 23 – Fill the Bill: Bird Beaks & Food

Through hands-on activities, children will explore how different bird beaks are specially designed for the foods birds eat, using tools to collect various types of “seeds.”1:30 p.m. | $10 per child
