Severe T-Storms, Flash Flooding Possible: Hudson Valley Sunday Weather
During severe thunderstorms, there could be wind gusts up to 58 mph.

The Hudson Valley remains under a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Sunday.
The National Weather Service said there is the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms and flash flooding Sunday, mainly in the afternoon and evening.
Hourly rainfall rates could approach 1 inch per hour during showers and thunderstorms. If heavier showers and thunderstorms pass over the same locations, then flash flooding of urban low lying and poor drainage is possible.

There could also be damaging up to 58 mph during severe thunderstorms.
Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather said that Sunday afternoon’s radar forecast shows the Hudson Valley between the showers that occurred Sunday monday and a line of storm building in central New York and Pennsylvania.

“That line of storms will have the potential to produce a few strong to severe storms,” he said. “The concern being primarily damaging wind gusts and torrential downpours. … The time frame appears to be somewhere between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.”
