Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Southern Westchester Friday

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southern Westchester County.
The warning is in effect until 7:45 p.m. Friday.
At 6:55 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located over Hackensack, NJ, moving at 25 mph.

The storm has 60 mph wind gusts and damage to roofs, siding and trees can be expected.
Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
