Shots Fired Monday Night In New Rochelle

Police said the gunshots were heard around 10 p.m.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle police are reviewing video footage in an investigation of shots fired Monday near a basketball court off Main Street in the city. Around 10 p.m. officers responded to 361 Main St.

People in the area told police that shots had been fired. The area around the court was checked and no one was present at the time, police said.

Five shell casings were found during a search of the area — on the walkway and in the grass above the basketball court.

No injuries were reported, police said.
