Special Ed Teacher Sentenced For Having Child Porn
A forensic review of his computers revealed numerous pornographic images of girls under the age of 10.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A Bronx special education teacher was sentenced for promoting and possessing child pornography. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino Jr. said that Tyler Davidson, 38, of New Rochelle, was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years probation on one count each of promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child and possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, both felonies.
The sentences will run concurrently, and he will have to register as a sex offender.
Scarpino said that in Oct 2017 an email service provider detected suspicious activity related to Davidson’s account.

After the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force referred information to the High Technology Crime Bureau in the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, investigators executed a search warrant March 2 at Davidson’s residence and seized his computers.
A preliminary forensic review of the computers revealed numerous pornographic images of girls under the age of 10.

Davidson had pleaded guilty to both counts May 22.
His Sex Offender Registration Act hearing is scheduled for Oct. 30.
At the time of his arrest, Davidson was a special education teacher at Lewis and Clark High School in the Bronx. He has been ordered to surrender his teaching license.
