Stabbing Victim Arrested After Driving Himself To ER For Treatment

His girlfriend, who was the accused stabber, and a friend who helped get the victim to New Rochelle Hospital, were also arrested.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A Bronx man who told police his girlfriend stabbed him, found himself in hot water as well, according to police.

On Tuesday, shortly before 1 a.m., New Rochelle police responded to Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital on a report of a stabbing victim who drove himself to the Emergency Room. The victim, a 20-year-old man from the Bronx, had non-life threatening injuries and told officers that his girlfriend had stabbed him in the back while they were both at her 4th Street home in New Rochelle.

While police were still at the Emergency Room interviewing the victim, the suspect, an 18-year-old woman from New Rochelle, arrived and was identified by the victim as the assailant. She was placed into custody and the knife believed to have been used in the attack was found on her person.

The victim's vehicle was secured as evidence "due to the significant amount of blood observed in the car." A .25 caliber handgun was also found in the car, according to police.

The stabbing victim and his friend, who accompanied him to the hospital, were arrested in connection to the weapon.

Danasia Hollis, 18, of New Rochelle was charged with felony assault. Tyshawn Jackson, 20, the stabbing victim, from the Bronx, and Tyree Anderson, 21, also of the Bronx, were each charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon.
