Storm Watches Issued For Weekend Snow
Parts of the Hudson Valley had already seen storm watches issued for the second of two snow events.

Winter storm watches are now in effect for the entire Hudson Valley in advance of the one-two snow punch for which the area is bracing. The National Weather Service said the watches are in effect for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties for noon Saturday, Jan. 19 through 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20.
The winter storm watches previously issued for the mid-Hudson Valley are still in effect for Saturday through Sunday.

Orange and Putnam counties could receive between 6 and 10 inches of snow and 1/10 inch of ice.
The watches were issued for the second of two snow events, the first of which will likely leave behind some snow and cause disruption to the Friday morning commute. After that storm clears out, there will be a reprieve until Saturday afternoon.
