Summer Reading Challenge Kickoff Party at New Rochelle Public Library

The New Rochelle Public Library will launch the “All Together Now” Summer Reading Challenge with a Kickoff Party this Saturday, June 24, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on the Library patio, 1 Library Plaza, New Rochelle.

The Kickoff Party promises to be a fun-filled morning, offering a diverse range of activities for children and teens. Children will have the opportunity to sign up for the summer reading challenge, an engaging incentive game designed to encourage children to read throughout the summer. Registrants between the ages of 0 and 12 will receive a goody bag, a summer reading game board to track their progress, and a free book.

Tweens and teens entering grades 6 to 12 can register for the Teen Summer Reading program on Readsquared at nrplny12.readsquared.com. Once registered, teens will receive a sports bag, two books of their choice, and three raffle tickets. Participants in the Summer Reading Challenge, regardless of age, will have the chance to accumulate raffle tickets throughout the summer, for an opportunity to win exciting end-of-summer prizes.

The Kickoff Party will feature the Bubble Bus, an immersive attraction that will delight children of all ages with bursts of bubbles and upbeat music. Joining the festivities will be Elephant and Piggie, beloved characters who will be available for fun photos. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to create a craft to take home as a memento of the event.
