United Hebrew of New Rochelle Gains National Recognition

(New Rochelle, NY—November 17, 2023) — Rita Mabli, President & CEO of United Hebrew, a leading senior care campus in New Rochelle, announced that its skilled nursing facility has been recognized as a 2024 Best Nursing Home by U.S. News & World Report for both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care, placing it among the nation’s best.

U.S. News evaluated more than 15,000 facilities nationally on an array of patient and resident outcomes including care, safety, infection rates, staffing levels and health inspections. Only 19% of skilled nursing facilities across the nation achieved this coveted designation.

To calculate the Best Nursing Homes ratings, U.S. News evaluated each nursing home's performance using a variety of quality measures obtained from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. Methodology factors in data such as data on resident care, safety, outcomes, nurse staffing, use of antipsychotic drugs and success in preventing ER and hospital visits. The long-term care rating also includes measures of whether a home changed ownership and how well they were staffed on weekends.
