United Hebrew President & CEO Rita Mabli Receives National Award

(New Rochelle, NY—January 4, 2023)…Rita C. Mabli, president and CEO of United Hebrew of New Rochelle, has been selected as a member of an elite group of industry professionals to be inducted into the inaugural 2023 McKnight’s Pinnacle Awards class. McKnight’s first-ever Pinnacle Awards honors industry veterans who have set standards, driven change, and provided guidance and inspiration to peers and the senior care, skilled nursing or home care sector at large.

The honorees were selected by a national, independent panel of skilled nursing, senior living and home care leaders. Ms. Mabli was chosen for the “Setting the Standard” award for leading by example while compiling impressive results. A trailblazer in the world of eldercare, she has for 40+ years spearheaded the growth and transformation of United Hebrew of New Rochelle, one of the New York metropolitan area’s largest multi-service campuses of comprehensive senior care.

Through Ms. Mabli’s vision and tireless efforts, United Hebrew has thrived, greatly expanding its services, investing in its infrastructure, and modernizing its campus. United Hebrew is now a one-of-a-kind facility where 600 staff members serve 1,000 residents and clients daily. Under Ms. Mabli’s leadership, United Hebrew is consistently named among the “Best Nursing Homes” in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. Its short-term rehabilitation center earned the USNWR “High Performing” rating, the highest possible. United Hebrew’s assisted living and memory care facilities have garnered national quality awards from the American Healthcare Association/National Center for Assisted Living. These honors represent the top-notch care given to every resident.

All winners will be honored at an awards ceremony in Chicago on March 7. The Pinnacle Awards program is a joint effort of McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, McKnight’s Senior Living and McKnight’s Home Care national media brands, which serve leaders on the higher-needs skilled nursing setting, senior housing, assisted living, and in-home personal care, home health, and palliative care.

Ms. Mabli joined United Hebrew in 1976. She was named Chief Executive Officer in 1994, and in 2007, assumed the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. She has received numerous awards for her work: In 2022, Ms. Mabli was named a Crain’s New York Notable Leader in Healthcare. She was recognized as a Westchester Magazine Healthcare Hero and Westchester County Business Journal C-Suite Executive Award winner in 2021. She was named a McKnight’s Woman of Distinction and received the Iona College Women of Achievement Award in 2020. Previous honors include being selected for a Leadership Award of the American Jewish Congress; Distinguished Leadership Award from the American College of Healthcare Administrators; The Brother Arthur A. Loftus Award for Outstanding Achievement from Iona College; and the Westchester County Golden Harvest Jim Curran Leadership Award, which recognizes service and leadership in enhancing the quality of life for the elderly. Ms. Mabli also served as the first woman president of the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce and was named by the group as both a Woman of Excellence and Corporate Professional of the Year. She is a member and fellow of the American College of Health Care Administrators and a licensed New York State Nursing Home Administrator. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Iona College.
