Victim Robbed At Knifepoint After Being Lured To Film Fake Music Video
2 of 3 suspects were captured and found with the stolen video equipment, knives, brass knuckles and a BB gun, New Rochelle police said.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Cops say a robbery victim was lured to the scene of the crime with an elaborate ruse.
The New Rochelle Police Department says that on Saturday, shortly before 11 p.m., officers were called to 45 May Street after a report of a knifepoint robbery.
The victim, a 23-year-old videographer, had been contacted via Instagram to film a music video at the address. Upon arrival, he met with three men, who turned out to be the perpetrators of the crime.

After the videographer set up his video equipment to film the video, the three men approached him with a knife, and demanded his equipment (two video cameras, a camera lens, and other videography items with a total value of $5700).
After taking the equipment, the suspects ran out of the building. The victim followed but could not catch them, and then called police.

The responding officers sent the descriptions of the suspects over the police radio and one NRPD officer saw two of the suspects nearby and stopped them. The victim positively identifed the two men as being part of the three who robbed him.
In addition to the video equipment, the two suspects were found with multiple knives, brass knuckles and a BB gun.
18-year-old Kyle Miller and 20-year-old Lonell Alexander, both of New Rochelle, were both charged with felony first degree robbery and misdemeanor fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon.
New Rochelle Police Department detectives are continuing to investigate this incident and are looking for the third suspect. They ask that anyone with information about the crime contact them at 914-654-2270.
