Wounded Warriors Among Country Music Fans at Westchester Trace Adkins Concert
Empire City Casino's concert headlines by Trace Adkins enjoyed by many, including service members of the Wounded Warrior Project.
Country music legend Trace Adkins packed the track Sunday at a performance at Empire City Casino. The sensational performer is a devoted supporter of veterans, and a spokesman for the Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP). Therefore, it was fitting to have a group of military service members from WWP in the audience when the Grammy-nominated artist brought down the house at the August 9th outdoor summer concert.
In recognition of the immeasurable debt owed to these brave men and women, Empire City Casino hosted 40 WWP veterans and their guests in a community effort to assist the recovery process of soldiers injured in the line of duty.
“Trace’s involvement with the program made it a perfect opportunity to bring the group here to Empire City,” said Taryn Duffy, director of public affairs at Empire City. “It’s a small gesture towards a debt we’ll never be able to repay.”
