• Committee selects new operator for Rapids Theatre (wnypapers.com) — Niagara Falls officials have chosen concert promoter Chris Ring and restaurateur Dale Segal to operate the historic Rapids Theatre on Main Street, a key step in redeveloping 39 former Blue Cardinal properties. The new operators plan to bring concerts, private events, and upgraded infrastructure, with support from state and local incentive programs expected to help modernize the venue and spur nearby investment. 
• Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo announces 2026 grant awards to 78 organizations (wnypapers.com) — Niagara Falls youth programs are getting a boost from new Ralph C. Wilson Jr. legacy grants, including funding for the Niagara Falls Boys and Girls Club and the Police Athletic League of Niagara Falls. These awards are part of more than $1.26 million going to 77 Western New York organizations, supporting caregivers, community assets, design and access, and youth sports across the region.
