• Lost child hikers reunited with family in Adirondacks (ithacajournal.com) — Two young hikers who became separated from their group on the Marcy Dam Truck Trail in North Elba were safely found and reunited with family less than an hour after Forest Rangers began searching. Rangers from the nearby Marcy Dam Outpost quickly canvassed area trails and located the 9- and 11-year-old children, underscoring the importance of preparation and rapid response in Adirondack hikes.
