• Driver arrested after fatal hit-and-run on Sunrise Highway in North Lindenhurst (newsbreak.com) — A pedestrian was killed in an early-morning hit-and-run on Sunrise Highway at North Indiana Avenue near Babylon Town Hall in North Lindenhurst, and police say the driver has been arrested. The crash shut both directions of Sunrise Highway for hours before reopening around 1 p.m., leaving local drivers rattled and questioning safety on that stretch of road.
