Last month, Mayor Nyce communicated to some of his insiders (not a single word to the public) that the eighty percent spike everyone saw in their electric bills was a one time deal.
Either the Power Authority gave the Mayor the wrong information or more likely the Mayor is being less than truthful. This months utility bill while true did not contain a PPA equal to eighty percent of the bill, the PPA did amount to fifty percent, still a pretty stiff increase, and equally apparent not a one time deal.
David Nyce and the Trustees have an obligation to keep the residents informed and so far has simply refused to do so.
If you made bad deal with NYPA resulting in these rate increases, you should put your ego aside and have the character and backbone to admit it.
