2 Busted For Smoking Meth Caught With Oxycontin, Xanax in Mattituck Car: Police
A neighbor alerted authorities to a suspicious vehicle on Sound Avenue in Mattituck, police said.

NORTH FORK, NY - Two people were caught smoking meth in a car parked on Sound Avenue in Mattituck Wednesday night, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, the incident took place at 9:55 p.m. when police were notified by an anonymous male about a "suspicious" vehicle parked on Sound Avenue, with two people inside.
Upon investigation, police found Kristopher Gray, 30, of Mattituck and Danielle Steffen, 41, of Mattituck, smoking methamphetamine, police said.

A search of the vehicle and the two subjects revealed them to be in possession of methamphetamine, 24 Xanax pills and nine oxycontin pills, police said.
Both were arrested and charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and two counds of possession of a prescription medicine outside of the original container, police said.
