28th Annual East End Maritime Festival This Weekend In Greenport: Guide

GREENPORT, NY — Pirates and mermaids a'plenty will head to Greenport this weekend for the 28th Annual East End Maritime Festival.

The festival, which includes a parade Saturday with grand marshals Lisa and Richard Israel, features music and entertainment in Mitchell Park, displays of classic wooden boats, kayak races, artisanal vendors, a Mermaid and Mermaid breakfast, wood carving, food, an array of vendors, children’s activities, fresh oysters, craft beers and local wines, and presentations throughout the weekend.

New this year is an event tent in Mitchell Park, where presentations are planned to fold every half hour on the hour.

Friday, Sept. 22
