3rd Annual Bike Swap and Bike Safety Event Slated for Peconic
The event is sponsored by the Southold Town Youth Bureau.

SOUTHOLD, NY - Springtime signals the time to get out and start exercising and enjoying the North Fork's sweeping vistas.
If it's time for a different bike, check out the Town of Southold Youth Bureau's "Third Annual Bike Swap," to be held Saturday, May 21 from 10 a.m. until noon at the Southold Town's Recreation Center on Peconic Lane in Peconic.
"Bring one, take one," is the theme, with participants able to swap up to a bigger bike or donate a used bicycle to a worthy cause.

Bikes not swapped will go to Community Action of Southold Town, to be used for those in need.
A safety session will also be held: Cyclists can bring their own bike and helmet and ride through a bike rodeo course run by the Southold Police Department.

A technician from Country Time Cycle of Mattituck will be on hand to check bikes for safety and functionality.
