Neither vehicle had passengers, police said.

The woman was heading east on Route 48, and the man was traveling north on Tuckers Lane, Grattan said.

The male driver pulled out from Tuckers Lane, failing to yield to the eastbound Bronco, resulting in the collision, Grattan said.

The man was extricated from his vehicle; both drivers were transported to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries; the extent of those injuries was not immediately known, police said.

Route 48 remained closed while the crash was processed and investigated, but was open as of Monday afternoon, police said.
