Blogger Review: Texas Guitarist Lance Lopez Delivers at the NOFO Rock and Folk Fest 2011
Day one at NOFO Fest rocks the North Fork Folk!
Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Lance Lopez belted out his own bluesy, rockabilly style to a captive audience attending the first day of the which continues tomorrow at in Cutchogue.
Although there was no six gun in his holster, the talented Lopez took aim at the audience and delivered shot after shot of fine guitar work from his weapon, a Reflex, custom "LL" six string guitar, offering the crowd a fine little taste of what the Lone Star State native has to offer.
It was midway through the day's lineup when Lopez took to the stage and quickly became a crowd pleaser. A commanding presence clad in black, Lopez's performance immediately caught the attention of an audience unfamiliar with his name. By the time the set ended, the name Lance Lopez was implanted in the memory of all in attendance.

An overall glorious day of live music, including intimate sets by John Sebastian of The Lovin' Spoonful, and the spot on vocals of the band Miles to Dayton, was wrapped up with Elvin Bishop bringing down the house with his band and Bishop's poignant recap of his long relationship with, and love for the blues craftsman, guitar great, Albert Collins.
