Ode to a Summer Day in the Garden
A simple garden walk is like a symphony of the senses
The garden again is at high-summer’s peak. Lush and extravagant, wave after wave of flowers lift their faces to the sun. The poppies and then the peonies rise and fall. Like music on a staff, new buds and blossoms create a harmony that draws us in. All our senses are on overload: sight, taste, smell, even the sound of stalks and leaves bending and whispering in the wind. I walked in a garden yesterday. Those precious moments linger with me still.
