Pet of the Week: Tiffany Raindrop

This timid but loving cat was found in a discarded doll box as a kitten four years ago.

On Sept. 26, 2008, dumpyard workers found a doll box among the rubbish. When looking inside the box they discovered a helpless 10 week old kitten -- on the outside it read "Tiffany Raindrop".

Now, almost four years later, this sweet and pretty feline, is our Pet of the Week.

Understandably, when first meeting Tiffany Raindrop, she's a bit timid.  But when given some time, she becomes a lovebug. And as you can see in her pic, this cute kitty also enjoys the company of other cats.

When learning about the fact that Tiffany Raindrop has been at the shelter for so many years, it really tugged at my heartstrings.

It's so important that we remember, that while shelters such as the offer a safe haven; where animals are loved and cared for until they are lucky enough to have found their forever homes, when an animal resides there for too long -- not only does it miss out on the constant attention it deserves, craves, and needs to be truly happy -- but the animal also takes up the much-needed space that is needed in order for more animals to be rescued and rehabilitated.
