Off Broadway Actor Tramar Pettaway Taps Broadway Actress Natasha Yvette Williams For The Wiz: The Concert!

As some of you know that on August 18th, 2017 the Hamptons Foundation for The Arts will celebrate their 5 year anniversary, when choosing which show they would like to pay tribute in a concert version the first show that came to mind was the show they started the company with 5 years and that was Broadway show "The Wiz".

Choosing "The Wiz" was the easy part the hard part came when it was time to choose who would sing which character and to my mind popped "Natasha Yvette Williams" to sing "He's The Wiz", I first saw Natasha in Chicago the Musical on Broadway where she is played and is currently playing Matron Mama Morton, at the time of me seeing the show Brandy was playing the role of Roxie Hart.

Natasha's Broadway credits include playing Sofia in The Color Purple on Broadway, she is a TONY AWARD winning cast member from the revival of "Porgy & Bess", which she performed along side 6 time TONY winner Audra McDonald.

In 2015 Natasha did the pit singing for "The Wiz Live", while understudying a various amount of the leading roles.

So on Friday August 18th at 7 pm, get a once in a lifetime experience and see this Broadway actress perform the song "He's The Wiz", from The Wiz celebrating the Hamptons Foundation For The Arts 5 year anniversary.
