Child, 3, Runs Into Road, Hits Side Of Pickup Truck: Cops
The child was taken to the hospital for treatment, police say.
MATTITUCK, NY — A 3-year-old child was hurt after running into the street in Mattituck and hitting a pickup truck, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, the incident took place Thursday at 10:22 a.m. on Route 25 near Wickham Avenue when the child ran into the road and hit a 2012 pickup that was heading east and being driven by a 51-year old man from Moose Trail, NY.
The child was transported by the Mattituck Fire Department to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
