Driver Found Unconscious In Running Vehicle In Greenport: Police
She was charged with DWI, police say.
NORTH FORK, NY — A woman was arrested after she was found unconscious Thursday in a running vehicle in Greenport, police said.
The incident took place at 1:26 a.m., Southold Town police said. Reports came in about a dark-colored vehicle stopped at the intersection of Route 25 and Chapel Lane, police said.
Officers found Chateau Butler, 40, of Coram and Southold, unconscious with the vehicle running and the transmission in drive, police said. They were able to safely wake her and have her put the vehicle in park without incident, police said.

Butler was arrested and charged with DWI, first offense, and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 of 1 percent, also a first offense, police said. She was transported to Southold Town police headquarters for processing and arraignment, police said.
