Driver Towing Food Trailer For Local Eatery Caught Drunk: Police

The man was arrested in Southold towing a food trailer for the Greenport business, police say.

SOUTHOLD, NY — A Long Beach man towing a food trailer for a local restaurant was caught driving drunk in Southold Sunday, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, Justin A. Schwartz, 42, was arrested at 4:19 p.m. on Route 25 after authorities received the report of a vehicle driving erratically while towing a food trailer for Noah's restaurant.

The vehicle, driven by Schwartz, was located and stopped for failing to maintain its lane of travel, police said.

Schwartz failed field sobriety tests administered at the scene and was found to be intoxicated; he was placed under arrest and transported to Southold Town Police headquarters to be processed and held for arraignment, police said.
