Drunk Man Crashes Into Pole in Southold, Flees: Police
The incident occurred early Monday.

A drunk Greenport man was arrested after leaving the scene of an accident in Southold early Monday morning, according to Southold Town Police.
Sergio Gatica, 20, was driving eastbound on Route 25 by Wagon Wheel Road when his car left the roadway, striking an embankment and causing the car to overturn and strike a telephone pole at about 1:34 a.m., according to police.
He fled the scene but was located by a police K-9 unit shortly thereafter, police said.

He was found to be intoxicated and placed under arrest for DWI and leaving the scene of an accident, police said.
Gatica was transported to Eastern Long Island Hospital to be treated for minor injuries and then transported to headquarters and lodged to await arraignment, police said.
