CROP Hunger Walk

WHO: Annual CROP Hunger Walk

WHAT: Walk, run, bike or skate a 10K course (about 6 miles). Very family friendly!

WHERE: Registration is at First Presbyterian Church of Southold at 53100 Main Rd.

WHEN: Sunday, Oct. 16. Registration starts at 12pm; walk starts at 1pm.

The event is free and open to all. Participants are encouraged to get "sponsors" to pledge money for their efforts. A portion of the money raised goes to local hunger projects; the remainder goes to alleviate hunger around the world through Church World Service, a 60-year-old interfaith, anti-poverty advocacy group that's been sponsoring the CROP Walk for decades.
