Family Finds Couple Having Sex In Backyard
The family lives across the street from Vineyard 48.

CUTCHOGUE, NY — A Cutchogue family got an eyeful on Saturday when a couple was found getting busy in their backyard.
According to Zachary Tyler, his sister came into his room and told him there were people in their backyard.
The family lives on County Road 48, directly across the road from Vineyard 48, which has made headlines in the past for crowds of revelers having sex in the vineyard, among other quality of life concerns such as noise, excessive drinking and parking issues.

"I head downstairs to the back deck and sure enough, there's a younger couple presumably visiting Vineyard 48 enjoying coitus about 30 feet from the end of our property line. I said, 'You guys gotta go,'" he said. "So they got up and started walking toward the highway, but about a third of the way there through the trees, I stopped seeing feet moving. I went to get my shoes and took a walk out to the backyard where not two minutes later, they were enjoying an adult activity once again."
Next, he told them, "When I said you gotta go, I didn't mean go to another spot on my property — leave."

And leave they did, he said.
The Tyler family said they did not file a police report.
Peter Sullivan, attorney for Vineyard 48, said it was not possible the couple was Vineyard 48 patrons. "We have security on the road and for years it has been our policy that no one goes on the road unless they live in the neighborhood."
