Goggins Wins Primary For All Three Parties After Absentee Votes Counted
The primary elections were held earlier this month.

The local Board of Elections recently announced that Bill Goggins have received the votes for primary candidate for Southold Town Justice for the Independence, Republican and Conservative parties, after all the absentee ballots have been counted.
At the vote on Primary Day on September 10, Eileen Powers received the Independence vote receiving 25 votes, beating Goggins, who received 24 votes and Brian Hughes with 13 votes, according to the Board.
However, with the absentee votes, Goggins got a total of 31 votes, surpassing Powers who received 26 votes and Hughes who received 16, according to a report in SoutholdLocal.

With the absentee votes, Goggins remained ahead in the Republican and Conservative votes.
On Primary Day, Goggins beat out Powers for the Republican vote, 526-390 and won the Conservative vote with 38 votes, while Powers received 25 votes and Hughes received 9 votes, according to the Board.

On Tuesday, the Board announced that with the absentee votes, Goggins got a total of 566 votes on the Republican line and Powers received a total of 434, according to SoutholdLocal.
On the Conservative vote, Goggins got a total of 41 votes, Powers got a total of 26, and Hughes, got a total of 9, according to SoutholdLocal.
The official election will take place in November.
