Greenport Village Asks That All Vehicles Be Off Street BY 8 PM

With snow coming, Greenport Village officials are asking residents to take heed and park in their driveways.

GREENPORT, NY — With a winter storm warning issued for Suffolk County, Greenport Village officials have asked residents to have their vehicles off the road by Wednesday at 8 p.m.

According to village officials, vehicles should be parked in driveways; those without driveways can park in municipal lots.

The mandate will stay in effect until the snow has ended and the village roads have been cleared. Those whose vehicles are found in violation will be fined $100 per day, village officials said.
