Greenport Officials Ticketing Cars that Remain on Road in Snowstorm

GREENPORT, NY — As the North Fork gets a heavy dose of winter during Saturday's snowstorm, Greenport Village Mayor George Hubbard is telling residents to stay off the roads.

The village, Hubbard said, has been writing tickets to residents whose cars remain on the road.

"Our road crew is doing a great job clearing the road. We just need everyone to stay home and off the roads until this stops," Hubbard said.
