Local Non-Profit to Host Community Yard Sale to Benefit Benjamin Pileski

The fundraiser will take place next month.

Kait’s Angels, a local non-profit group created in honor of Kaitlyn Doorhy, announced they will be hosting a Community Yard Sale in order to benefit Benjamin Pileski in August.

Pileski, 20, of Mattituck, was injured after he was hit by a taxi in Montauk earlier this month. He was briefly in a coma and recently, his family said that ”things seem to be coming along.”

He has begun occupational, speech and physical therapy to continue to help him improve.

The yard sale will include many unique items donated from all over Long Island and beyond and there will be some fun deals including an “all you can carry” section.

The group is also seeking baked goods for the bake sale and volunteers to help with set up and break down and to sell the items.

Participants are asked not to drop off any items or make donations until Friday, August 14 between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Doorhy home.
