Lucharitos to Host Grand Reopening on Friday
Lucharitos lovers will have to wait to celebrate Cinco de Mayo at the popular Mexican restaurant.

It may be Cinco de Mayo, Greenport residents will have to wait if they want to celebrate at their favorite Mexican restaurant.
The well-known and well-loved Lucharitos will be opening up on Friday to host their grand opening after undergoing an expansion for over a month.
On Monday night, the restaurant announced that there was a possible of opening on Tuesday with a limited menu. However, on Tuesday morning, they announced the restaurant reopening was rescheduled.

“Thousands of man hours and thousands of millions of dollars went into opening for tonight’s festivities, but alas, Lucharitos will be changing the global holiday of Cinco de Mayo, To Ocho de Mayo,” the restaurant wrote on their Facebook page.
The grand opening will begin at 11 a.m. at the restaurant located at 119 Main Street in Greenport.

“Lucharitos wants their customers, fans and friends to walk in and say ’wow they nailed it’,” the Facebook post reads. “Too much love went into this project to have it any other way.”
