SPCA: Decapitated Kittens Were Found Lined Up Next to Each Other
Kittens found in Ronkonkoma on Wednesday, authorities say.

The Suffolk County SPCA is asking for the public’s help to track down whoever decapitated three kittens and left them in an industrial area in Ronkonkoma.
The kittens were found on Wednesday in the vicinity of 2221 5th Avenue by a woman who cares for feral cat colonies, according to Suffolk County SPCA Chief Roy Gross.
The kittens, estimated to be about 5 days old, were lined up next to each other and very little blood was found, Gross said.

“This is a vicious, heinous act of animal cruelty and how anyone could do this to these kittens is beyond reason,” Gross said. “Studies have shown that acts of violence, such as this, toward animals can be a precursor to violence against humans.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Suffolk County SPCA at 631-382-7722. All calls will be kept confidential.
