“I have been publicly expressing my interest in running for supervisor for more than a year now, so I really didn’t think it would be a major news event,” he told SoutholdLocal. “There was no real strategy behind creating a Facebook page announcing my intention, except that I wanted to separate my personal life from my political aspirations. I simply created a public Facebook page and my phone started ringing.”
He is hoping to take the seat currently taken by Supervisor Scott Russell, who has served two four year terms since 2005, according to a SoutholdLocal report.
He has two sons, is a Scout Cubmaster in Greenport and is a congregant at the Mattituck Presbyterian Church, according to the report.
