Men Caught With Heroin, Cocaine, Drug Paraphernalia: Cops
The Greenport men were stopped for speeding, found with the drugs, and charged with intent to sell, police say.

GREENPORT, NY — Two Greenport men were arrested after they were caught with heroin, cocaine and marijuana during a traffic stop in Riverhead early Thursday, police said.
According to New York State Police, the incident took place at 2:35 a.m. when New York State troopers stopped the driver of a 2011 Hyundai Sonata for speeding and failing to maintain his lane on Sound Avenue in the area of Pennys Road.
An investigation revealed that the driver, 32-year old Karon D. Grant, and passenger, Fredrick D. Grace, 28, both of Greenport, were found to be in possession of cocaine, heroin, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Both were charged with one count of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a felony, one count of fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, a felony, one count of fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, heroin, a felony, one count of criminal use drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, police said.
Grant was also charged with numerous vehicle and traffic law violations, police said.

Both men were slated to be arraigned at Riverhead Justice Court, police said.
