North Fork Rallies For Friend Battling Cancer

GREENPORT, NY — The North Fork community is joining hands and hearts to help a friend facing a health crisis.

A GoFundMe, "Funds for Dom," was created by the Whiskey Wind Tavern in Greenport.

"Our friend Dominic was diagnosed with throat cancer roughly six months ago; he is currently undergoing chemo and radiation and needs our help," the page says. "Dominic is a hardworking Irishman whom we love dearly, and we will do anything and everything we can to make this time of healing easier for him financially," friends said.

A fundraiser is also being organized at The Whiskey Wind, with a date to be announced.
