Orient State Beach Park to Host 28th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
The event will take place this Friday, Dec. 5 starting at 6:30 p.m.

Orient State Beach Park will be hosting their 28th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony this Friday, Dec. 5 starting at 6:30 p.m.
Along with the lighting of the tree, traditional holiday music will be performed by the children of Oysterponds Elementary School, under the direction of Lin Bogden.

Santa Claus will arrive in his red sleigh escorted by the Orient Fire Department.
Upon arrival, Santa will light the live tree, donated by Cross Sound Ferry Services to replace the tree destroyed by Superstorm Sandy.

Hot chocolate and cookies will be served.
There will be a winter coat collection for those less fortunate and canned goods will be collected for donation to the local pantry. All are welcome.
