Parenting Guide: Local Summer Activities for Children
Local mom creates list of long-term summertime activities to keep your kids occupied.
During our Feb. 23 addition of , local mom put this question out there for discussion: How can parents best plan and organize their childrens' summer breaks?
"For me it's about how to organize the summer so that my son is busy every day and in the most economical, summertime, take-advantage-of-the-North-Fork way possible," she said.
After some great back-and-forth banter, Jennifer decided to put together this guide of summer-long activities for kids to help you get a jumpstart on your family planner a few weeks before spring. One-day or weekend family friendly events, or family friendly destination points are not included in this list.
