Peconic Bay Medical Center Delivers First Baby of 2016 to Greenport Parents

The baby boy was born on Jan. 1 at 10:04 a.m.

Peconic Bay Medical Center recently announced their first baby of 2016.

Liam Robert Ramnarine was born on January 1, 2016 at 10:04 a.m. to parents Maegan and Chris Ramnarine, of Greenport.

He weighed in at 5 pounds, 14 ounces and 18.5 inches long.

Liam was expected to be born January 15, his mother said, but the parents were happy about his early arrival.

Maegan first felt labor pains on Tuesday but didn’t feel they were intense enough to go to the hospital.

She said the labor pains continued periodically through Thursday evening as they watched the ball drop.

Unable to fall asleep due to the intense labor pains, she told her husband Chris it was time.

“I am looking forward to seeing his little changes as the days go on,” Chris said with enthusiasm.
